1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Loci (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Use of the Service

Loci is a design decision documentation tool intended for use by designers, product teams, and individuals who want to capture and organize the reasoning behind their work. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations.

You must not use the Service to upload, transmit, or store content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Loci, including design decisions, notes, screenshots, and any other materials. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not share it with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service or as required by law.

5. Intellectual Property

The Loci name, logo, software, and all related materials are the intellectual property of Loci and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials without our prior written consent.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or its underlying software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Loci and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes loss of data, loss of profits, or any other intangible losses.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, including if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users or the integrity of the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation where possible, and otherwise through the appropriate legal channels.
